3 Day Workshop, June 12 - 14, 2025 • 9am - 4pm
Join us for a fun and inspiring 3-day oil painting workshop with William (Bill) Kalwick. In this workshop, you will paint people, animals, and landscapes from photographs. Bill will help you understand how to capture form and space through engaging lectures and painting demonstrations. Students will receive guidance on interpreting supplied photos or any images you bring, allowing you to create your unique paintings. Bill's personal approach focuses on one-on-one instruction, fostering a supportive and creative atmosphere.
This environment is perfect for artists of all skill levels to grow and develop. His passion for painting shines through as he shares valuable insights and experiences, helping you build confidence and a deeper understanding of how to truly interpret your subjects through your artistic vision. I recommend the EASyL-Pro* or French style easel or any portable easel.
Brushes:
Creative Mark Pro White 200F brushes from Jerry’s Artarama.
#’S 3, 4, 6 Robert Simmons Signet Filbert Bristle brush #6 and #8
Palette:
formica or wood
Painting Surface:
Toned Panel, Canvas, or Board:
2- 16x20
Thinner: Gamsol oderless thinner.
Clean Up: Painting Rags or Paper Towels.
Reference Images: If you have some photos you like bring them with you.
Paint:
Arrange the following colors from left to right:
Viridian Green
Permanent Green Light
Ultramarine Blue
Burnt Sienna
Alizarin Crimson
Cadmium Red Light
Raw Sienna
Yellow Ochre
Cadmium Orange
Cadmium Yellow Light
Titanium White
These items are recommendations, bring what supplies you have.
Please do not use turpentine or similar solvents while painting indoors.
No table top easels.
