American Women Artists was founded in Tucson, AZ, by a group of women artists working in the Western genre. AWA has grown over the last thirty-four years to serve over 1000 artists annually in the U.S. and Canada, including exhibitions around the country, welcoming a wide range of artistic styles. The Museum of Western Art exhibition and its surrounding events will honor AWA’s roots and the AWA masters of the Western genre while giving its Associate and Associate with Distinction Members an opportunity to shine.

WALT GONSKE:
THE CHURCH SERIES

September 6, 2025 - November 8, 2025

Churches and cemeteries hold a special fascination for Walt Gonske, so much so that he has traveled to several states and foreign countries to capture their beauty and, in essence, to tell their stories.  Walt Gonske's "The Church Series" will feature 69 of Gonske's Masterworks.  Featured in the exhibition are Church Facades, Campo Santos, Church Interiors, and the Churches set in landscapes.
