Join one of the leading Sculptors of the American West, Jason Scull, for a 3 day workshop which will cover armature construction, design, and the building of a story in clay. The workshop is open to all skill levels and will include artist demonstrations and individual instruction and critique.

REQUIRED MATERIAL LIST

Per participant:
 

Two 12” x 18” x 3/4” plywood

 

Suggested Hardware:

 

Two 1/2 or smaller floor flange (I prefer 1/4 flanges as they are smaller)

Two 1/2 or smaller(to fit flange) x 1/8 bushing

Two 4” x 1/8 nipples or

One 8”x1/8 nipple

One 5”x1/8    “

One 6”x1/8    “

One 7”x1/8    “

One 9”x1/8    “

One 1/8 Coupling if using two 4” nipples

One 1/8 ell

Two 1/8 Tee

 

For a 8” horse you will need

One floor flange and bushing

One 6” x 1/8 nipple

One 1/8 tee

 

For a 10” horse you will need

One floor flange and bushing

One 8” x 1/8 nipple

One 1/8 tee

 

For a 15” human figure you will need

One floor flange and bushing

One 9” x 1/8 nipple

One 7” x 1/8 nipple

One 1/8 ell

One 1/8 tee

 

There will enough fittings to do more than one piece if you want to start another piece upon returning home. Pipe fittings can be found on line at supplyhouse.com

 

(I prefer the black iron fittings over galvanized)

 

#10 x 3/4” wood screws

1” drywall screws

 

20’ 1/8” armature wire
